Texas Nursing Home Shut Down on Abuse Charges

Texas officials have raided and shut down a Corpus Christi nursing home in order to rescue residents from what they believe was rampant physical and mental abuse.
The state conducted an emergency seizure of the license of the Affordable Quality Care Center on suspicion of nursing home abuse. While details of the latest charges that resulted in the facility being shut down last month have not been released, the facility has a history of abuse charges and has been investigating more than 20 times since 2005. It has received several citations for verbal and mental abuse as a result of the investigations.
State investigators have previously accused the owner, Nouri Griffin, of verbally and mentally abusing residents. Griffin allegedly called residents names and falsely told them that their spouses had died, state officials say.
All of the residents have been removed from the home and placed in other facilities. However, an adult day care on the same property, Adult Loving Care, continues to operate according to a KZTV-1o story.

I worked for this woman and witnessed the constant abuse and torment that these residents endured, it was a terrible thing to witness and Ms.Nouri truly is a horrible person for the things that she said and did, what was sad was that when she was turned in to the state MULTIPLE TIMES for the abuse and misconduct and continued neglect of the needs of her clients the state actually investigated the claims and FOUND NOTHING ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS !!!! Whats worse is that when I resigned from working there she flat out told me not to bother calling the state because they never find anything in all the times that she has been investaged… shame on her !!! I hope to God that her license is removed and she is barred from ever working with vulnerable adults or children again, cold , heartless people like her have no business caring for others, shes lucky not to receive prison time, I would be more than happy to testify against her if called !!!

I’m not sure if I would go this far, and cealld it abuse , but there is something troubling moral teaching children about religious mythology, as if they really were.
